I was approached by Halyk, a financial institution, to provide ‘UI validation” of their homepage redesign proposal. However, after assessing the situation, I realised that the UI was not the primary issue, and a complete overhaul of the user experience and information architecture was necessary. I collaborated with Halyk to redesign their entire internet banking platform, which was a truly ambitious project.
Goals:
The primary goal of the project was to improve the user experience of Halyk's internet banking platform. The design needed updating to a modern, user-friendly, and visually appealing interface. One of the business goals was to maintain the majority of functions that the existing design had.
Approach:
To begin the project, I started with the homepage and conducted extensive research on user behaviour, needs, and pain points. This allowed me to identify the major issues with the current design and prioritise the features so that the most important were easy to access. From there, I created dozens of wireframes to test different design concepts and iterate on the best approach.
Once I had developed a solid concept, I worked with Halyk to create a detailed design system that would ensure consistency across all 150+ screens of the platform. As the project grew in scale, I added an additional designer to the team to help with the workload.
I led us to develop a responsive version of the platform that would be accessible from various devices. We worked to ensure that the new design would be visually appealing, intuitive, and user-friendly.
The result of our efforts is a new design for Halyk's internet banking platform that is a significant improvement over the previous system. The new design is more intuitive and user-friendly, making it easier for users to navigate the platform and access the information they need. 
Overall, this project taught me the importance of assessing the entire user experience, rather than focusing on a single aspect of the platform. By conducting research, wireframing, testing, iteration, and revision, and leading a team to develop a new design system, we were able to successfully redesign Halyk's internet banking platform.
